Dawn Jury

I grew up in the Grease era and it has a special place in my heart. I so wanted to like this show but just can't jump on board. It's got it's bright spots - Jane & Olivia are great and you could not cast a better Frenchie other than Didi Conn herself! That was some great casting/acting. Then it just falls flat. I feel like i'm watching an episode of Glee or High School Musical. Barely any of the songs have that 50's feel to them. They are more all 90's feeling. This doesn't take place in the 90's. Gotta stick it. And the lack of originality is overwhelming. It's like they were stealing scenes from the movie and trying to give it their own twist. The only thing that worked was the Beauty School Drop out twist. and HOW DARE THEY recreate the "greaser's wet dream" scene that Sandy does at the end of Grease. Nope...lost me for certain than. I don't care about the "wokeness" of the show except for Cynthia's character. Just so blah and she is just so annoying. Can't act and just has a weird vibe to her. There was really only 1 episode worth the Grease name the rest just was not good. If they do a Season 2 - I will not be around. Sorry Paramount - you got a dud on this one
