I believe the way this movie is perceived depends on one’s life experiences. For me, it was a reflection of many families I have known, and a bit of my own. I agree that the adaptation could have been less choppy and that the book paints a broader picture, but I loved the movie and think Amy Adams and Glenn Close did a terrific job.
