An visual wonder. From title cards to the end titles every frame is rich. Mainly because of 3d. It proved that Indian cinema is no longer smaller than Hollywood. Story is weak which is the major drawback. Routine good Vs evil story. Message is too good. As usual Shankar sir excelled in direction department. Rajini sir and Akshay Kumar both did their Best. Other artists also did their role well. Idea is good. Scientific reasoning is good. Mobile phones fly when negative energy gets into it due to electromagnetic radiation. Aura of dead body has negative energy. So an aura can control phones. Shankar took the most talked topic "fifth force" and explained it through this movie. 20 mins before interval is just Hollywood level. First half is told in riveting manner despite some repetitiveness. No boring moment. Racy screenplay in 1st half. Interval is good. Second half opens with akshay Kumar flashaback. Although his intention is good and told in a good manner but it lacks emotional connection. After flashback the film moves in decent way. But after it gives ticket worthy entertainment with Last 30mins. Last 30 minutes has world class VFX, Great performances by rAJINI and Akshay. Rajini mouths some punch dialogues in the climax. Climax is the best part of the movie. Rajini sir surprise avatar is superb. So overall a nice watch for sure in theatres. 4d sound is too good. VFX overshadowed the other things like a weak story mainly. Action scenes are the biggest highlight. I am not sure if it will break bahubali 2 records because bb2 has emotional appeal more than 2.0. also 2.0 was released during non holiday season whereas bb2 was released during summer. In my opinion 2.o is better than bb2 but 2.0 lacks emotional connection. Positives: rajini and Akshay Kumar performances, message , spectacular visual effects, bgm, Akshay Kumar flashback, climax battle sequence, bgm ,3d effects and 4d sound effects, shankar's crazy imagination and proficient direction. Negatives: weak story, missing emotional depth and repetitiveness at some times. My rating 3.5/5.

Movie is good. Really pls beleive me. High octane action scenes are main highlight. Like prabhas sir told in an interview movie has good twists and intelligent screenplay. But we Telugu people won't mind the screenplay so it may appeal as confusing screenplay. Final twist is so good. Dubai chase and final action scene have come out extraordinary well. +VEs: screenplay pattern, twists , action sequences, bgm ,prabhas. -ves: songs placement, length, story, too many characters. Rating: 3.25/5

It will mark 2nd collabaration of aandavar and shankar. Hope the movie will be on par with 1st part. Shankar the showman of Indian cinema has never disappointed in the commercial prospects. But his last 2 films got avg to abv avg rating. So indian 2 should be in a way that he will again cement his position. Also movie should be like indian 1 talking about corruption. Hope shankar repeats the same magic. Expecting atleast 250cr gross at box office as movie depends only on prequel craze and shankar brand. Kamalhas lost his market completely after Vishwaroopam. 2011 2011 nijamga sir movie icchesara?? Icchestha ela undabothundho konchem cheplagalava. Hit avuddha??

Killer dubbed version of kolaigaran. I saw the movie yesterday. It is a good thriller movie so far in 2019. Bgm is excellent especially in the 1st half. Screenplay is very good. Twists are revealed in good manner. Nice twists. Duration is another positive point. Both Vijay and Arjun acted excellently. Arjun is very good. heroine did well in her role. songs are average. infact they acted as speedbreakers in the film. climax is the good part of the movie as all the twists are revealed. Positives: screenplay,performances,bgm,twists,length, preclimax and climax. Negatives: story,songs and less entertainment. My rating:. 3.25/5

A disappointing spy thriller. Opening scene is excellent. After that movie shifts to actual story. Love track is predictable and boring. After the hero's team gets a mission the movie turns racy and moves to interval with this racy screenplay. Villain is revealed in the interval. First half is good with some terrific action scenes. But logic goes for a toss. Bgm is good. Songs in Telugu are bad. Surviva song is good. Trouble starts in 2nd half. Second half disappoints for most of the part. Except scenes between Ajith and Vivek Oberoi everything is unexciting and unengaging. Story is bad. Too much of action also puts off the audience. Climax is even bad. Vivek is average in his role. Mind games between Vivek and Ajith are very good. But the movie suffers from bad editing and hurried up screenplay. Twists are also predictable. Overall the movie is high on action and technical aspects but lacks proper story and engaging screenplay. Plus points are action scenes, Ajith Kumar and 1st half and 2 songs and scenes between Vivek and Ajith and technology usage and some heroic dialogues. Minus points are story,screenplay,too much of action,romantic track,climax and illogical scenes. My rating 2.5/5

Nice movie. Racy first half but a less entertaining second half. Movie is designed as thriller and it sticks to it despite routine romantic track. It's a good thriller but is off the Nativity. That's the main issue why it flopped in Telugu and did good business everywhere else. Plus points are sj surya terrific characterization,mahesh babu performance,production values,cinematography,sj Surya and Mahesh Babu scenes and interrogation scene. Negative points are climax and rakul preet singh and Nativity issue and some illogical scenes. My rating 3/5

Sorry for late review. I watched the movie first day morning show but I am giving my review now. To say Maharishi is a good movie at best. 1st half is good especially the college scenes have come out well. A few elevations in 1st half. Mahesh entry is superb. DSP songs are average but he makes up with the bgm which is excellent. Story 1st starts at New York with CEO of origin company reassigning and is about to announce the new CEO. Rishi Kumar(Mahesh Babu) is appointed. A song comes. After that he is invited by his pa. His old friend comes to the place where the party is held. Old friend(vennela Kishore) takes us to the flashback. Then movie moves to flashback and flashback scenes occupy most of the 1st half and they are good. 20mins before interval is emotional. A twist in the story. It is totally unexpected in a commercial entertainer but it is good. Trouble starts in 2nd half. Mahesh Babu comes to allari Naresh(best friend in college) to help him. But he comes to know that the place where allari Naresh is living is going to be destroyed for the purpose of construction of project. Routine scenes take place for the first 40 mins in the 2nd half. But movie picks speed from the night fight which is excellently choreographed. This is the best block of maharshi. Mahesh showing emotion and fighting is excellent. After that a small twist. Mahesh sees a cultivated land which is grown by a farmer secretly. Then he learns farming and asks the lands of the farmers in the village for lease for 2 years. Then a thought provoking message is told by Mahesh Babu in press meet scene. Routine ending to the villain. 2nd half bores for most of the time but last 40mins are heart and soul of the film. We get emotional after seeing the last 40mins. Positives: Mahesh Babu makeover and terrific performance, first half, bgm, interval twist, allari Naresh performance, last 40mins, night fight and thought provoking message.. Negatives: too lrngthy 2nd half, resemblance of srimanthudu and bharat ane nenu movies, songs, runtime, weak villainy. My rating: 3/5
