It's a good effort with a few decent scares but lacks the intensity, tension and pacing of the original. It's predictaby in parts even if you hadn't seen the original and feels rushed for the first 3 quarters of the film then tags on a bit of straw clutching action that isn't needed.
Decent cast and good intensioned but ultimately fell short.
