Worst thor movie ever. Genuinely sad. This movie was written and directed by a five year old. Full of plot holes and inconsistencies. To really understand how stupid the story is just narrate it to someone. The portrayal of Thor and other gods is blasphemous. Tessa Thompson is a joke of an actresses. Her dialogue delivery is one of the worst I have ever seen and the only expression she has throughout the movie is that of a constipated elder. Portman looks bored and uninterested throughout the movie. She didn't even try.

This movie had so much potential. It throws at you so many moral and ethical questions that is relevant to our own world which went through a period of colonialism, without answering any of them. They are so many interesting plot points and stories that are left unexplored. The movie has a huge pacing problem. It constantly shifts between exciting action and plot reveals to boring and irrelevant/inappropriate jokes and conversations that are totally avoidable. The director is way out of her depth. The transition between scenes also feels very unnatural. The is a very noticeable disconnect between consecutive scenes. There are multiple characters with their own stories, relationships, rivalries. You can feel the director struggling to weave all the layers of story into one interesting tale. Sadly she fails miserably. Non of the main characters(eternals, celestials, deviats) are properly explored. There are hints of poor writing all throughout the film. The writers failed to create characters who have any sort of depth. You don't feel attached to any of them, so much so that their death means nothing to you. Both the male and female leads are awful for their respective parts( Ikaris and Sersi). They spent most of the time staring aimlessly. Their dialogue delivery is as unconvincing as their facial expressions throughout the movie. The movie would have been so much better had they cast a strong actress as the female lead. Salma Hayek is criminally underused and AJ looks old and tired. The only commendable performances are Barrys and Kumails. That said Barrys character has no importance to the main plot of the movie. But the same can be said for half the eternals. A lot of the characters are just their for no apparent reason. They just makes the movie unnecessary complicated and at times boring. Non of them adds anything worthwhile to the main story. Some of visuals are stunning and the cast is diverse. But casting is poor. I bet there are diverse actors out their who could have done a much better job. The deviant character in the film had a huge scope and at the end he is just killed off.
