I originally liked the show and the message they're trying to get out to young people. However, I've noticed the show has jumped the shark when you have parents arguing about the father buying a $200k Lamborghini. I started paying more attention and I realized the show is just completely ridiculous. How is this show relatable to most people when you have parents arguing about maids, Lamborghinis and $100k jewelry? What message is this sending?
It would be one thing if the show didn't come off like it was trying to show the struggles of an "everyday" African-American family when in reality it's egocentric unrealistic entitled multimillionaires pretending they're making a show to push out a cultural message about growing up as a person of color in the USA.
My 10 year old daughter loves the show and I watch it with her but between this show and Fuller House...my daughter thinks nearly everyone is a millionaire with massive houses and families. Chase that money!
