"Karna'a wife" by Kavita Kané is one of my absolutely favourite books. I have reread it several times. Naturally, when 'Karnsangini' was announced, I was really quite excited. The show started off really good and stuck to the storyline as well. However, as the show progressed, they completely deviated from the book and introduced random characters. It was tolerable until the point where they introduced Karn's three aunts. It went completely haywire from there. Also, who the hell is Kasturi? As far as I know, Karn's first wife is Vrushali, who is potrayed as a very gentle, forgiving woman in the novel. Vrushali even accepts Uruvi into the family just because Karn loves her. It is really unfair to butcher characters this way. They have completely ruined the essence of the Mahabharata.

I like the show so far, but I don't know how it will play out. If they bring in some drama and let Mauli go back to Kunal, that would be a grave injustice to the viewers. Mauli deserves to find true love and that is most definitely NOT KUNAL. He loved Nandini right? He can't keep jumping between these two women.

This serial is a headache. The story line is extremely disappointing. They drag it out too much and there is unnecessary drama. The lead Anurag is sometimes very dumb and Prerna seems to have little to no self-respect. She could have gotten out of the situation easily but still wants to sacrifice everything. It's really stupid, honestly. The high points of the serial include the bgm and the visuals. The acting is also good, Anurag especially. Prerna is very beautiful but she was a bit over-the-top at first, seems to have toned it down a bit now. So, the lead pair is very nice. But unless they change the storyline and make it a bit realistic, I think it's gonna start losing viewers. I wouldn't recommend it.

The story is moving forward.. so this is more like a filler movie. A little less exciting than FB 1, but wonderful nonetheless. A huge treat for Potterheads, get ready to meet some verrrry familiar characters!
