Well, this movie failed to live up to the expectations that came from the Trailer. I am one of the person who usually prefers to watch movies on Saturdays/ Sundays after reading public reviews but this time I was so exited that I watched it on first day morning show. I would be honest that I was disappointed. Below are the big loopholes and flaws I found in the film that spoiled my expectations,
It failed to create the feeling of father-son bonding and the connection in our mind and so the unnecessary violence is not justified.
I felt someway while trying to emphasize and portray violence, the plot development and story building was forgotten.
Transition from one situation to another was poor and does not leave any impact, except few scenes. Had better expectations from the director.
Again, I felt the violence scenes most of the time did not make sense and seemed irrelevant. I mean leaves less impacts and does not stay longer. Like if I take example of GOT, all gore and violence made sense.
Over glorifying alfa male culture and giving less importance to female characters.
Bobby's character was less impactful, compared to the expectation built from the trailer. No justice with his character, less screen time and huge opportunity wasted
Lot of action sequences appeared undercooked, because it came all of a sudden and without any logical explanation and without building strong grounds. So, those felt unnecessary and less impactful.
Another impractical thing is that a person open fires in an investor's summit in presence of foreign delegates, Bloodshed in a 5 star hotel but no police action as if there's no law and police.
Now the good parts are, Power performance from Ranbir and Bobby Deol (though its small). Way action scenes were shoot. Few tracks like Arjan Vally is my favorite. BGM while Ranbir-Bobby fight scene was awesome. However overall I did not find it engaging and gripping and that emotion is missing. Also, the length is a drawback.
