Thought provoking, interesting, and unexpected twist. The story and plot is extremely creative and enjoying to watch, as well as the special effects.
The movie really didn't go over-the-top with the technology in their world, which is good. It doesn't explicitly say how many years it's into the future but I'm guessing it's 50-70 years. It's pretty far off from what our future might realistically look like, but the portrayal is still better than many other sci-fi movies out there. For a Netflix movie, this is pretty impressive. The ending was amazing and they really made it so that every side of the plot was humanised (No pun intended) to make it seem like no one was really the villain, they had their own purpose in the fight. As for the acting, I know most children aren't very good at it, but they must have read some kind of script and the fact that Lucy said "Mommy/Daddy, I'm scared" or "Mommy/Daddy I love you" such an unnecessary amount of times really threw me off. I first thought this was going to be a horrible movie because of how isolated the setting felt, how no one had their own sense of individuality, almost as if it was too perfect. Then of course, I learned Earth was inhabited by robots and the more gritty and realistic population which are the real humans, live on Mars, which we sadly never got to see (Probably because of the budget).
Anyway, this film is pretty good. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend when I get some.
