The film gets one extra star for the special effects and visuals. If only considering that aspect, it was stunning. Unfortunately there is so much more to consider.
The film deviates from its predecessors in a bitter way. The story was terrible. The concept was trying too hard, and missed the mark. It struggles to fit the trilogy; rather than following the vector established it makes a hard turn into an unnecessary tangent. The acting is, for the most part, mediocre. It conformed to the designs of so many films and so much media these days. What happened!!!!???? Whatโs happened to entertainment these days, everything is the same. Where is the truly deep thinking? Why does it have to have an agenda that destroys the roots of the trilogy? I had a fear of this going into it but hoped to be pleasantly surprised. Instead my fears were realized. This was just an attempt to capitalize on what was a great and sentimental trilogy for so many.
