Dark, disturbing and the personal pain and suffering were palpable. I think it’s a great movie but not easy to watch. Although born out of comics it provided me a dose of reality. You can understand how a person Ill and poorly treated, marginalized and invisible, can be driven to violence. It has caused me to self-reflect and to examine how I treat people less fortunate or cause me to become fearful. I landed at you never know what suffering another endures, and acting with kindness and forgiveness, even towards those who make you uncomfortable, is a direction I’ll strive to aim toward. Even if it doesn’t help another it’s always good for my soul. And Phoenix was amazing!
