Personally I loved KOTM, I do think some critics sent mixed signals about how much the ratio between human interaction and monster smashing. I thought this film had balanced it well, the film gave us enough human interaction to keep the plot moving while still delivering on insanely beautiful shots of the classic Toho kaiju that I think will make the company very proud. I thought the actors were believable, I felt for them at points and hated them at others. Then the monsters themselves, my god I couldn’t contain myself in the theater, hearing the mere mention of the Oxygen Destroyer sent myself into a crazy frenzy. As a long time Godzilla fan, for at least 15 years, and as someone who has been disappointed by DC and used to the classic Marvel formula (no hate I promise), I love this film and it EASILY is my favorite film this year, possibly even my life. Okay, maybe I am a little biased, I only walked out of the theater ten minutes ago!!
