Pleasantly surprised by #DuneMovie! The visuals are stunning. I loved the universe they have created. Hordes of nasty guys with messed-up vocal cords swarming to wipe off the good guys and everyone else. Is Paul, the protagonist the promised savior of the universe? A good story with a touch of metaphysical, mystery, and timeless human notions such as fear and love. Hans Zimmer's score is epic as ever (and loud to the point of deafening those with sensitive ears). The movie is also an amalgam of religious and cultural relics from around the globe. The one person who looks Chinese is a doctor and is kind of sketchy. In summary, it is a beautiful and enjoyable movie, which I believe most people can enjoy, even if they are not fantasy nerds. I'm definitely waiting for the next part.
