A dark, brutal and powerfully moving watch. I turned away at the most gruesome bits and I’m a seasoned viewer of horror and gore. As I binge watched it on my phone I was unbothered by the darkness and mumbling of actors others complain about. I’m surprised at how much I’ve been affected by this drama as it’s not my usual genre of choice. It’s opened up a yearning to find out more about this period in history days after watching it.

It was unbelievably slow and bordering on pretentious. I couldn't bond with the characters because there was little dialogue or context to their actions. I endured the appalling music waiting for the climactic ending which fell flat.....so disappointing!! I watched the interviews with the perpetrator on you tube after to understand what the hell actually took place that dreadful night.
