I didn’t watch this movie initially because of the age difference between the characters. All the actresses are in their mid twenties, and the one 37 year old plays the mom. All the men, however, are familiar actors in their early 30’s. The 10 year age difference between the leads were also, well, hard to believe. There was no chemistry between them (but I honestly liked that part). The tornadoes were the best part of the movie. The acting was cringey. The best parts of the movie were based almost directly off the previous movie itself which wasn’t entirely bad. The director was like “We aren’t re-inventing the wheel and did retakes of the double twister, the drive in movie, etc.” These were the most entertaining bits. The main’s storyline was hard to believe - teenage storm chasers (the one 32 year old with them) and they are getting sucked away by the tornado in a highway overpass (also extremely dangerous). The 24 year old Ph.D student who thought she could stop tornadoes (the science is weird too). She later gets her Mad-Mad boyfriend’s truck and lets loose of her old college experiment into a tornado that she was stupid to go out in - which would have killed her. I wouldn’t watch this again honestly. I’m happy I didn’t see this in theaters. A movie meant for younger women and guys who want to ogle them. Not for me obviously.

Warning: Spoilers The Indian Schoolgirl storyline was what initially drags us in. He did a great job of shedding light on the history. For the rest, honestly, I found the story to be full of cliches - like a British royal falling in love with a Montana man and leaving everything to go be with him. - Almost dying by lions - Nearly drowning at sea - Losing all her money - Sexually harassed - Nearly freezing The stupid rich man that keeps assaulting women on stage - leaving viewers with this PTSD corn, why!?!?!? Jack Dutton **** was the stupidest of all. “Hey I’m Jack Dutton, POW!” The most entertaining and cringey part of the show was watching his wife get nearly killed by a mountain lion. I found him more entertaining than vengeful Scottish man. Helen Mirren’s character and her husband were also hard to believe sorry. You just go to your uncle’s homestead, and bring the Irish woman that you so happened to pick up on the way? It seems like Taylor Sheridan had either one of two things - A really bad experience with an ENFP - Just doesn’t like women - Picked up some of his mom’s Harlequin romance novels and was like “Sure, I can do that.” Spencer? Hahaha. Pretty boy who literally says nothing. I enjoyed it - don’t get me wrong, but I couldn’t watch the ending after spoiling the ending. I saw just bits. Alex is the new Elsa and they HAD to kill her. Ugh.

Pretty intense movie. Had young people dancing in the front. Music is subdued. The story starts to focus on a girl that is an immigrant trying to fit into the culture of Spain, having forgotten about her past. The ethos is made that Pink Floyd music has resonated with new generations, and isn't just that of the past anymore. Roger Waters is a heavily influential rhetorical singer - getting into the music as much as using it to illustrate his point. The middle is a "in-your-face" criticism of America and "You-Know-Who" with all Republican/Tories labeled as pigs and the Statue of Liberty laying down as if it's knocked down - namely Trump on a baby/pig and telling him to cry. There is also images of the Wars in the Middle East saying "The blood is on your hands." Many had to exit the theatre. The music is updated and new, being a mix of his own work with Pink Floyd. By the end, the woman realizes her past as well as the separation from her mom in Syria?, reuniting with her. All in all, a heavy message for the world, and worth it's weight in some discussions.

Painfully horrible movie that god good reviews. About an older Chinese man (who's most likely 45 but pretending to be 35), whom after his divorce, goes and chases his manic-pixie dream girl (who slept with him) across the country. She's like half his age - or at least looks it (sorry melanin - you can't trust it.) It turns out she's dying (though it's pretty obvious.) Most of it is shots of the national parks (cool) but he's walking through them like he's got major revelations. The other part is him running into other millenials (millenial magic) that inspire him to get out of his "safe space." He sleeps with Amelia's sister who calls him "asian gigolo joe" (he's hardly that... sorry), and finally comes to the last park where she died. Says goodbye to her... and that's it. Honestly, the main character was too flat. Maybe it appeals to men just like him... honestly don't know. After looking at the reviews 8/10, I can only conclude that movie reviewers are, in fact, insane. You take an insanely imaginative movie with a high budget - you get the lowest possible reviews. Take a weird / anti-climactic indie film - 8/10 stars. You guys are insane. So long America.

Probably the weirdest show in the world. The voice actors are much worse - making this show hard to watch. Yet I still watch it.... it is aesthetically pleasing. It wraps you in it's weird comedy-drama / "I don't know what I'm doing and neither do you" vibe. It's comforting.

I found this movie kind of depressing. I am never one for “realism” and this one seems to be pointing the finger at millennial women for being wishy-washy. It doesn’t leave you with any warm fuzzies but instead existential dread and nail biting. We find Gina Rodriguez’s character being forlorn over her ex breaking up with her only to find out she was creating space between them to begin with. The drug infused trio of friends embark on a “healing journey” of sorts to figure out their relationships - or at least pretend to.

If you want my honest opinion, I don’t think the movie did near enough as it should have done. It is sure a film about wanting to be okay, but the character does little if any to exert some agency over her life (Including flying home when her ex husband was babysitting on her vacation while her friend was waiting for her to see LA). I think, personally, that people do things to change their lives, to grow and change. I think our main character comes to terms with her life (after her *ONE creative venture). As someone who is creative, this seems so unrealistic to me. Not only that, she goes back to the same men - whom also usually don’t go back to the same women in real life. I think the film advocates for some complacency and while that can make for a tidy ending, the film could have done much more. At our modern time, women are NOT complacent and I find it more realistic that both women end up living the other one’s life… just because it’s LIFE and people want to experience as much as they can. They could have watched Another Earth and fathomed a better story plot.

Very cute. I loved that it was heartwarming and not just a stupid raunchy comedy. I LOVE the celebrity references. Wish I knew how good it was when I saw the trailer. Unfortunately I think Will Ferrell being in the movie kind of turned me off from it.
