(Spoilers) Many critics are looking for scientific accuracy, realism, and closure. Forget all that. What you get is a story, which in its self is pretty captivating and cinematically beautiful. Here’s another spoiler: your life often doesn’t have closure. And I appreciate the empty gut feeling of this ending that goes against the grain of what a traditional story is composed of. Because often that is life. And you are left to contemplate the million dollar question: what’s the point of all this? I find myself reflecting on what’s truly important, and that is embracing those you love and the time you have with them. I could care less about how gravity or genealogy works, or even how plausible this whole scenario is. I gave my daughter a big fat kiss at the end of it. A movie that can compel emotion out of me is a freakin good one. If you’re a regular person with people you love in your life, go watch it. If you’re a science geek, go read another book. If you’re an aspiring rotten tomatoes critic, get a life.
