Lost me when I saw a movie where humans can fly to interstellar space in no time yet drive Camrys. Two black Toyota Camrys sent by the space billionaire was time to switch off.

A self absorbed divorcee having sex with other people’s husbands. An unattractive character (not physically) involved with unattractive men. Dialogue by the central character with others left me wondering what it’s all about. I didn’t see any sunshine and gave up before it finished.

Absolutely wonderful movie about the courage and integrity of an intelligent, composed war widow simply trying to operate her recentlly opened bookshop in her private residence in an Englush village in 1959. She faces a concerted effort by a malicious, rich hag who has co-opted forces in the town to remove her for a spurious community benefit. Not a happy Hollywood style ending but an extremely satsfying and thought provoking conclusion.

I watched it in ABC TV iView streaming. I thought it was weak in a number of respects. 1 not a single question on the nature of his Tassie 'Devil' research by any character 2 how did he get a high powered rifle into Tasmania after 1993 3 how did he get traps which are banned 4 after the fire apparently no police investigation or coroner's enquiry 5 as NY Times said the lady miraculously comes out of depression in a snap. Scenary is fantastic that's the only positive for me.
