I like dark anime but I think some of the elements of this one make it a little dry. There’s not enough room to really feel for the characters, more just curiosity on what’s going on in the moment and what they’re going to do next, but not enough to be completely attached to watching it one episode after another. I’m 8 episodes in and I still don’t understand what the Ark is—it’s like they purposely lead you on with this hanging question mark in the air that just drags along each episode. Fight scenes were great though, otherwise I feel like the story could be more polished. I don’t think they needed all these extra characters (his team) , it seems to be mostly about Yuliy’s involvement anyway.
