The movie is very detailed in portraying the character of Ahana Sen, her emotional turmoil, her personality and her behaviours are in sync. Paoli Dam delivers another fine performance as a woman caught with her traumatic past which gradually starts affecting her reality check. The parallel narrative by Sreeparna and Abhirup gives a side window as to what might be happening behind the scenes. Rwik Royโs character initially felt out of place but I guess that was deliberate. Parambrata as Dr. Sayantan is caught between his love and professional commitment and not able to maintain a boundary. Being a psychiatrist myself, I can say that the conversation that he has with his mentor is quite accurate in terms of technicality like ethical issues when treating patients, especially psychiatric patients who trust doctors with their private experiences and even his advise to discontinue his practice because of this ethical breach. However, the hypnotherapy part is very outdated and is hardly used nowadays. Also, the subplot of Dr. Sayantanโs alter-ego was unnecessary. I felt it was added for some โtadkaโ rather than contributing anything to the main story. The writing would have been more crisp if they had just stuck to the idea of jealous lover who is willing to go to any extent, manipulating to the point till their person of interest starts having mental breakdown, to get even. There were few loose ends like the budding romance between Rwik and Oindrilla, or the fate of the film that was being shot were left out. One or two scenes about these would have given it a more finished look. Overall, good movie.
