After I heard that a sequel to Mary Poppins was coming out, I've been anxious to see it. I was afraid it was going to have "sequel syndrome" and be a disappointment. It was not a disappointment at all! My 5 year old granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw Mary Poppins at the movie theater when I was 8 years old and it brought my childhood back in a rush to hear 'spit spot' and 'practically perfect in every way'. I love the way they maintained the characteristics of the first film and yet told a brand new story. Take your kids and grand-kids. To me, it's as good as the first movie.
