Very simple seemingly stupid stories to highlight matters that need thought. I found each story leaving me deep in thoughts... gender divide, attention towards trivial stuff, fertility debates... with new issues cropping up in the society we need more of her works and more authors who can uncomplicate things.

Beautiful in every aspect. It brings out the horrors on the east side of the wall without the gory images. Extremely humane, showing each character's strengths and shortcomings with such honesty.

The movie focusses on more of the love story. Less on the massacre. But that is so important to build the emotional connect. Gives a very old world feeling! Recommended for those who are displaced for a variety of reasons.

It was so simple and realistic yet so profound and symbolic. Like everyone, the cruelty towards animals bothered me but I admit it was important to bring the script to life. Unlike roller coaster Hollywood romance, this one unfolds gracefully and there are no loose ends.
