Very underrated movie with a strong message about not falling in love with someone that’s part of your family and keeping it a secret. What shocked me was the fact Anne lied to her husband about the affair just to get away with it, but that resulted in Gustav to get angry and kill himself because he wasn’t lying and he was hopeless. The transition of the 2 main characters turning into what they really are made me shocked. The sex were very crazy and suggestive but Anne wanted to do it with him because she didn’t really see him as a kid, in the scene where Anne sees him shirtless she saw how grownup he was but then he started making love when it wasn’t a great time. Anne crying near the end of the movie made me feel guilty knowing that she was responsible for his death, also when she sees him in the mirror shocked me cause I thought he was actually alive but that wouldn’t make sense, because she never spoke at him. The ending was great seeing the family visit his funeral because they deeply cared for him. The things I don’t like about it was why it didn’t make sense, first of all why did Gustav have sex with her if he didn’t know it would result into the situation and by the way he knows he’s not an adult. 2 was why did she kick him out now that scene made me feel so bad for him because she kicked him out of the family for no reason and he doesn’t have a family except Anne’s ( I know Rebecca is his mother but he wanted to live with his 2nd family ) and 3 was that illusion of Gustav terrified me because I thought it was real. It’s definitely a worth watch, for me I couldn’t handle the love scenes at all, but a really good film.
