This is so sad as I am a huge Exorcist fan. If I was basing this on the first half of the film then I would have given it 4 stars, or if I was basing it on the two girls and their acting I would have given it 5 stars. The end was just disappointing. It fell short of what the 1973 Exorcist did. I also felt that the injection of Ellen Burstyn was literally pointless. It felt like they were trying to rekindle the spirit with nostalgia. It didn’t work.
