Take A Stand

It wasn't horrible. The storyline was decent with a few unexpected twists, but the execution didn’t quite live up to the first film. The first one had a perfect balance of drama with a touch of humor, while this one leaned a bit too heavily on comedy. I feel that shift affected the overall tone and essence of the film.

I watched it today and I have to say I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The movie seem to move slow and the story line predictable. I am not sure what all the hype was about the sex scene either; pretty demure. What I did find on point was MBJ’s performance. He was definitely convincing as twins. The intensity that he brought to the characters was spot on. Music was fantastic too. Didn’t hate it but didn’t love it either. Just saying! 😇

Most excellent! Love the musicality, not overdone and definitely felt like a new movie. I hate that people are attempting to cloud the movie in controversy over Oprah and Taraji. The conversation of equitable pay for black women is far greater than this one role. Bravo ladies!! We celebrate you for a job well done!!
