Wow! Just Wow…. So original. Vacillates between humor, pathos, raunch and the sublime. Grounding the narrative with quotes from the time (real and imagined) makes the work feel like a historical treatise. The supernatural realm is both ridiculous and haunting… grotesque and periodically beautiful. I felt whiplashed and yet couldn’t put it down. The audiobook is phenomenal.
