Allura and Lance relationship was rushed because season 8 was the end of their contract for the show. It's sad that the show is finished, but it was a great show. When I was young I never liked Voltron but this Voltron changed all that. After finishing the whole show I feel lost in a good way and had a feeling that there should have been more into the future of what was happening. This show couldn't have been more well executed by the team that made it, just really thankful for creating an amazing show. Hope that more great shows or films come from the people who were part of it.
