Have just finished reading this book and have been left Breathless. I heard a saying a long time ago, the darker the night the brighter the lights, and I feel that is a perfect description of the events in this book. The times and events in this book were dark and brutal but they allowed for Sparks of love, Joy and yes heroism to not only arise but to also make an actual difference, as small as it may have appeared but more than lasting in the overall measure of its appearance. All I can really recommend is that this book be read by anybody who has an interest in knowing of a little bit of Truth in history, that mostly it is written by victors and more common truth is buried from the future, something that should never happen.
