Found it a little difficult, initially, to get in Linda's headspace - but once I did I really appreciated the unique way she saw life.
There's work for the reader, as it never really says explicitly what her father did (or even IF he did it) and we suspect Terry early on, but may have to adjust our view later. And any sympathy for 'stalked' Rebecca is shown to be misplaced ...
I found this a sad tale, covering as it did, Linda's unhappy, eventful (in all the wrong ways!) life - until the last page, when we discover a completely different Linda. Not so down trodden and at the whim of others as we first thought.
Linda isn't a conventional heroine, perhaps, but I definitely have a level of admiration for her, as she sets out to achieve something remarkable.
A Tidy Ending, indeed!
