Absolutely brilliant show! If you loved Narcos and Narcos Mexico on Netflix then you will love El Chapo too! Thrilling, exciting and dramatic and gives an intoxicating glimpse into the world of one of the most notorious drug cartel bosses El Chapo and the corruption that has dogged Mexican politics and how this has affected the war on drugs.

Dont waste your time watching this movie! I wish I hadnt wasted two long hours doing so! Where do I start? Well the first part of the movie is actually quite good! The team led by Ben Afleck plan to rob a cartel boss of several hundreds of millions of dollars at this hide out. That part of the movie is entertaining and reminds me a little bit of Narcos the excellent Netflix series. The show falls down in my opinion once they have robbed the cartel boss and make their way to a landing strip where a helicopter arrives to help them escape. Firstly we discover that despite knowing how much money they would be stealing, that the weight of this money with the passengers would be too much to travel safely in the helicopter but shouldtnt an experienced expert military team know this and factor in all of this while planning this operation? They could have easily arranged for two helicopters to help them escape. All of this is highly implausible! Then they crash land in a field with the money and shoot some of the villagers and then using donkeys go on a long journey to meet a boat which will finally complete their escape but along the way after travelling several days through the mountains and the snow Ben Afleck's character is shot dead by one of the villagers who apparently had followed them for days, climbed a mountain and up against 5 marines shot Ben Aflecks character in the head! This is completely unbelievable! PS: I have given this movie two stars for the beginning of the movie up until they reach the landing strip!
