I found this film really depressing, dark and dreary.
Apart from one or two beautiful shots of the vineyards, everything else was concerned with gloom and doom: the psychological state of the widow’s husband, his premature death and the problems associated with getting this fabulous champagne made.
Not one bit celebrating the final results; bitterly disappointing.

I’ve just started watching this series after thinking it wouldn’t be my kind of thing.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
It is completely absorbing. The characters are wonderful, the attention to detail amazing and the whole experience totally brilliant.
Can’t recommend it too highly.

Can’t get into it at all- it’s all over the place.
