I found this book to be extremely human, for lack of a better term. Grief (unsurprisingly) plays a huge role in Harry's story. I cried a few times. I didn't find it to be a tawdry gossip rag. It's a very heartfelt piece. I think the Royal family ended up looking like a pretty normal family, in one sense. Various squabbles and jealousies are evident in every family. However, the scrutiny, the wealth, the dehumanization is well expressed from Harry's perspective within the system. Aside from the press treatment of this book, it seems like it would be a good PR look for all of them. His complaints about his family aren't devastating. He mainly targets the press as the villain. In this day and age, who isn't tired of the press and spin?
