I found his story both funny in parts and very sobering during the battle scenes. .Very well written account .My grandfather was there also and their paths followed a similar direction.so it made it all the more poignant for me. I have added the book to my library of WWI books

What a life he had!! A very interesting book; I really enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.It held my interest from page one. James knows his stuff, and his enthusiasm shows throughout. Sad however to see the decline of the British aircraft industry- for the same reasons they lost their motorcycle industry.. Boardroom incompetence, and lack of imagination..

I loved this great tribute to Ralph. Many superb photos and a very well written text. In fact I bought three copies ..two for friends; they also were most impressed!
