Empty, shallow film. It's marketed to be a staple for friendships but in what world you're feeding bs to your friend instead of telling them what you really think? And people speaking truths in this film are considered jerks or inconsiderate.

I kept waiting until the end for the whole symbolism to make sense. It didn't and while I commend the film it kept me very focused throughout it, I did not understand it by the end, which left me disappointed. I looked the explanation up and it was very far away from the supernatural aura I had given it. For me, Jake was someone who had the power to read and bend someone's thoughts to the point his victim couldn't distinguish reality from fiction and he would eventually torture them in the basement because they would never be compliant enough...far from it. I always cry out about how predictable films are but this one was wrapped very tightly in symbols to the point it left only confusion behind. That is my personal take on it.

The film had potential. There are some interesting visuals to it and I liked that the story portrayed a sort of friendship between a human and an AI - uniting forces to learn better. The fact that the enemy is the human race was a nice change. To me the main let down was the flow of the narrative in that there were a lot of inciting incidents but they kept appearing before resolving the one before and the explanation at the end wasn't enough. The backstory was served on a platter through monologue, some characters were never proper introduced. And finally, personally I disliked the monolith idea because that's been 100% successfully associated with "A Space Odyssey" and it felt uninspired. I would have preferred if they chose something original.

This just looks like a regurgitated version of 'The Truth About Cats And Dogs' - does not compare in quality. It's not the actors' fault - the scenes and story line are just unfolding unnaturally.

As much as I hate romantic films, this one made my heart skip a beat. I would attribute that to the genuine rationale Lara Jean applies in mostly any situation, without being overly dramatic...as you would see in teen films. This and Easy A are the best teen films. I did not like the gay token is being thrown out in these films though ... it's like the gay guy is now the new black guy. At least give the guy back story if you're going to feature him.

I've only watched the first 2 episodes so far and I'm sold. I absolutely love this type of comedy. I love that the characters are multidimensional, can be super smart, caring, role models in one aspect and total morons on another. You can't anticipate what's going to happen so you're on the edge all the time. I don't have enough positive comments to leave for this series. I adore it.

I am not going to dwell on the theme of the film because so many here do and also because I find it utopian. No, it's more the construction of the film that bothered me. No explanation given until the last 5 minute of the film and even though that could be a recipe for success, just like in Fight Club, the revelation was not mind-bending as it was supposed to be, but rather mediocre. All those repetitive chases were too hyped up and what seemed to be a very interesting film in the beginning it was developing painfully slow.

I enjoyed for the most part the first two seasons of the series. From a lovely girl with ideas to conquer the world, Anne turns into a needy and dramatic person, meddling in everyone's business. I don't like the fact that the series seems to be a front for all today's social issues - feminism, black lives matter, Jewish discrimination, gay discrimination, native Indian discrimination. I would have appreciated the series more if Anne would have led by example instead of throwing fits and be used as a poster child
