Having read the Original Valimiki Ramayana, let me detail the inaccuracies in this movie. 1. Kabandha advises Rama to move towards Pampa to meet Sugreeva. In the movie, it was shown as Shabari. 2. Lakhshmana testing the IQ for Hanuman asking silly questions like - If 5 people built a house in 30 days, how many days will 10 people take to build the same house? These are jokes for kids. I cannot believe these silly jokes are added to Ramayana. What utter nonsense! 3. In the Original Ramayana, Sugreeva challenges Vaali twice and Vaali was killed by Rama on the second duel. In the movie, Vaali gets killed in the first duel itself by Rama. Also, there were unnecessary scenes added of Sugreeva saving the monkeys from collapsing mountain caves to project he is the true king. This is very similar to Baahubali protecting people in the fight while bhallaladeva opts to shoot arrows at his own people. 4. In the original Ramayana, Indrajit first fights with Angada, not Rama. Later, Indrajit returns and captures Rama and Laxmana with Serpentine Arrows. Thinking Rama and Lakshmana died, Indrajit leaves for his Fort. Garuda from Vishnu Loka comes to the rescue of Rama and Lakshmana from the Serpentine spellbound. None of this was shown in the movie. Indeed it was shown that Lakshmana dies at the very first encounter which was completely inaccurate. 5. The whole episode of Indrajith (Meghanadha) is inaccurate and a mashed-up version of the director's illusory senses. 6. In the original Ramayana. Indrajith uses Brahmastra to make Rama, Laxmana, and the entire army of monkeys unconscious except Hanuman, Vibhishan, and Jambavan. Then Hanuman goes to the Himalayas to bring Sanjeevani. In the movie, this was a completely mixed-up Serpentines episode of Indrajit that I detailed earlier. 7. In the original Ramayana, It was Ravana who hits Laxmana with an arrow, making Lakshmana unconscious for the second time. This is when Hanuman goes to Mount Mahodara and failing to identify the herbs, Hanuman brings the entire Mountain. This was also mixed up in the movie. 8. In the Original Ramanya, after Ravana was Killed, Rama did not accept Sita and disowned Sita. Movie had a happy ending with Sita hugging Ram. 9. Indrajith was killed by Laxman in a regular battle on land. The whole story of Indrajith bathing in lake and fighting in water was made up by the director. Bottom line, my humble request for the Stupid directors who have no knowledge of Itihasas is - Stop making stupid movies. Respect Itihasas. Itihasa means - This, as it happened. Ramayana was a fact.
