Caught this movie on Netflix on a lean day, wanting to watch something / anything. Was pleasantly surprised with the story telling and the acting, and was fully engrossed in the movie till the very end. Would have paid to watch it on the big screen, if only to appreciate the team that made this movie

Got sucked into a really bad Malayalam movie in a long time. Kunchacko Boban as Hari hammed it through the movie and the gang of psychopaths appeared to have empathy towards each other. One moment they are cold blooded killers and the very next moment they are rage filled monsters. It started off well and we expect to see an organized crime gang, and then we get a bunch of drug crazed psychopathic youngsters..the story for some perverse reason attempts to justify some of their actions, with a corrupt policeman abusing the women in the group. Terrible actors, most of them, or maybe it’s the director. The only conclusion one takes away is that the producers had an agenda, to communicate that young people today are substance abusers, indulge in free sex and are amoral. Maybe they want you to feel nostalgic for the biblical times.

It started with a whimper, and 20 minutes after waiting for things to get interesting, realized that this is just another hyped up movie that the industry wants everyone to see, to recover their money. Not a bad thing in itself, because it’s good for the economy and all that. And since I caught it on Prime, got away cheap. Incoherent script and bad special effects. The actors didn’t stand a chance :(
