This movie was by far the biggest regret of my entire life. After keeping my expectations extremely high based on popular reviews of the movie at this time, being a generous 3.8 stars, I was SEVERELY disappointed. What a let down, that was two hours of my life that I will never be able to experience again. I would rather defecate in the palms of my hands and do a standing ovation in front of a hundred people before I could convince anyone, or even myself, to EVER watch this again. The main character is one of the most insufferable characters to ever be conceived on the face of the earth. The 'scary scenes', or ones where they smile were not scary, highly predictable, badly edited, were violently graphic for no reason, and did not meet even my lowest expectation for a 'horror' movie. The ending was even more stupid, predictable, and indubitably foolish than I could ever imagine, and I am disappointed in the cheap and tacky CGI monster that was edited in. It's safe to say after watching this movie, the only Smile I had on my face was when it was over.
