Once the movie got going it was very good, but that did take a little while. There was a slight disconnect with the human characters at first. Which would have been lessened if they had filled out the back stories for Noah and Elena more. With that being said, I did enjoy the growth of the characters in the movies. The camaraderie between the protagonists was nice to see, but to an unaware viewer it would be difficult to know how the Maximals knew about the Autobots or why they were so willing to work with them. Also Optimus Prime seemed to be slightly more disconnected from his more traditional views of every life being sacred and protecting the human race than he has in his previous movie and show iterations. All in all, it was a good movie, hopefully the next one surpasses this one.
