I really enjoyed this, and didn’t expect to. Sox the robotic cat totally stole the show (he has all the best lines) and the actor who voices him has the purr-fect delivery. Chris Evans is a wonderful Buzz, and the supporting voice actors are great. The movie starts with a statement that this is the movie that Andy saw that introduced him to Buzz Lightyear in the original Toy Story, and gives us the context for a lot of Buzz’s catch phrases and actions in TS1. The plot revolves around Buzz making a mistake that maroons him and the crew of the spaceship they are on, on a hostile planet, and his efforts to fix it so that they can go home. It’s witty, well written, action-packed, and full of clever plot twists. Also, there a 3 additional scenes with the credits, so don’t leave before the very end!
