Not an easy read. In between I was tempted to put it aside, shrugging my shoulders. But after finishing it I realize that I liked it. I like the person Elizabeth Costello, how she admits her own confusion, how she handles her own being torn and how she copes with all the question marks and doubts that she experiences at the end of her life. In my eyes a really special and impressive piece of literature.
