I wanted to like this movie. The cast was stellar but the story fell flat. Olivia Coleman's character is relentlessly down on herself and the ending makes little to no sense. Further, the not so vaguely threatening family with which she became entangled simply did nothing to push the story along for me. Finally, the manner in which it was shot, namely practically every shot a close up, also detracted from the story and gave the movie a claustrophobic feeling.

This movie was a complete mess and waste of time. There was no understanding the babble passing as philosophy in the dialogue and the ending was utter tripe.
