A little overdone: plots and characters.

Seems to be depicting a world we like imagining. Relationships no too real. Good for a fun run, though. Just as long as you compare it to the real thing. Trendy. As we would like to imagine it. (For instance, the actual demographic of Boston police force in the field: 13% female, 87% male. Start from there and work back.) It’s okay for a fun show, though. I just don’t believe that, starting out as it is, achieving a “real” feeling is gonna be doable. Not going to see the tough streets on this show, in my opinion.

Great show for a while but I think the decision to eliminate the second-in-charge Doctor (a male) puts the show out of balance. I read in a critique that the depiction of a predominately (very) female physician staff was purposeful, to signify the rise of females in the field, but it distracts from what should be the primary theme of the show: riveting medical events. Now we are instructed to marvel at the liberation, instead of the events. The only professionally strong male now is the lead… We get it: women can be great doctors!

The show getting more shameless in it’s posturing and pitching of the leftist side of current issues. Two stories and an editorial from the editor of The New York Times today. The show should not take sides. It’s amateurish…

Unrealistic character positioning and overly shallow dialogue in support of left-wing politics. Episodes seem contrived to support that dynamic.

The original Suits had already moved into a tailspin, just out of exhaustion with the quirky surprises the show depended on. A change of venue, a a bunch of lesser characters can’t change that!

No longer riveting. Hope it improves. Bet it will get back to harsh realism. Right now, the show is busy show-casing a new member of the team. Has lost intensity.

Eh! I didn’t buy the depth of the grief, nor the authenticity of the characters. And that picturesque backdrop…? Not something that reminded me of my toughest days! (I do have feeling I would discover a more moving experience by reading the book…) But at least the production included the now obligatory love-making scene, if just one, even if they were far from a love relationship at the time… Used to be coded by the soft drift of morning breeze in a porch curtain… Some how the whole thing seemed kinda privileged and trivial…

Turning into the most left-biased new programs of the three major networks. Part of that is due to the crusading bias of the reporters. Huge opportunity lost. And the anchor guy from New York State seems to have no regular-guy warmth at all.

Totally predictable. A well-worn path. Too many like this now.
