this movie sucked so bad, it really felt like it just glossed over everything legitimately interesting and the main character is just so intolerable and awkward throughout the whole movie, it feels like this movie was written and filmed by a highschooler who writes wattpad fanfic in their freetime. throughout the entire movie i actually felt like pent up hatred for the main character (auden) istg seriously WHAT is this movie 😭

this movie is creepy and feels like it shouldn’t be legal. these characters are the stereotypical “cute, quirky” characters but let this be known that they’re neither cute nor are they quirky, they’re just insufferable. “the idea of you” is a fucking garbage movie and it makes me mad that people like this basic ass movie that has no good qualities other than the main characters being conventionally attractive and easy on the eyes anyone who watched this movie and thought “wow i loved it!” is LYING to themselves FUCK this movie also let me just say that i think it is APPALLING that it wouldve been more normal if the daughter slept with the popstar than the mother. jesus
