This compelling show received a terriblly negative review from USA Today on 1/7/25, but I have a very positive take on Doc after the first three episodes. It has pulled me in, watching the struggle of a Type A person dealing with a situation that she can't just "fix" or think her way out of. It highlights how one's life can end up taking two completely different courses dependent on the presence or absence of a key event. Who was this person before the loss of her son? Will her TBI provide her with the opportunity for a personality revision? Dr. Amy Larsen was truly caustic, harsh, cruel, and unlikeable before her accident. I wonder if having a female character with these characteristics is harder for the general audience to overlook, compared to how popular the House character was, although he was even more of a schmuck. Don't listen to the negative review or the naysayers - check it out yourself.
