Timothy was amazing and played young Willy with innocence and hope. His singing and dancing were well done. The fantasy world created was a treat. Hugh Grant’s Oompa Loompa was hysterical. Wonderful escape. 💕

The book is ALWAYS better. Changes made to the series were awful. 630’s relationships with the family and their special gift was not deep enough. Why change how he got his name??? The neighbor’s were a decent plot line but so was the original neighbor and her abuse. The pencil incidents weren’t severe enough. To not put her back at Hastings finishing her study but making her a teacher at the end was a condescending compromise. She could have had a special at the TV station to say what she said to her class and tout her accomplishments. And her sudden Hollywood glam metamorphosis was a typical Hollywood ugly duckling transformation into a male fantasy of beauty when she was strikingly beautiful all along. Hollywood!!! Horrible. Why call it Lessons in Chemistry when it was a far cry from the quality of story of the book. How about Plagerism of a Great Story?? Hollywood you’ve ruined another book.
