This game kind of snuck up on me. I had already heard that the story was thin, so I didn’t expect much after the genius of Three Houses. But I’m finding the battle mechanics and unit building pretty deep. I love the Emblem mechanics because it’s like taking a whirlwind tour through the history of the franchise. This game seems to be setting up future releases from the back catalogue (remakes or Switch Online emulations), which is good news for latecomers to the series.
