Erica Bee

I started this movie expecting a modern adaptation and was openminded about the idea. I tried to like it but this was a terrible movie. The writers added a lot of cringy scenes such as Anne declaring at dinner that "he wanted to marry me first". There was a lack of depth to the characters and lack of emotion. Character traits were overly exaggerated to a ridiculous degree, such as Mary and Mr. Elliot. The writers cut out scenes that were important to the movie but fed the lines to another character in another scene to make the coming scene make sense. And worst of all, the reading of the love letter at the end was blah.
