I don’t understand why people are giving bad reviews to Conjuring: Last Rites or what they were expecting. The movie delivers exactly what the Conjuring series is known for. Before watching, I saw comments like “there are no ghosts” or “it’s not scary.” But that’s not true. The film has plenty of jump scares and the same spooky Conjuring vibe.
Seeing Ed and Lorraine old is emotional, and by the end, you really feel the pain of knowing they are no longer with us in real life. While watching, their story makes you feel connected, almost like they are part of your own family.
Since it is based on a real story, it feels even scarier. Just thinking about how terrifying it must have been in reality gives you chills. If you are looking for flying witches and over-the-top horror, this movie is not that.
As a big fan of the Conjuring series, I can confidently say that if you love the franchise, you should watch this movie. You won’t regret it.
