This movie just feels a bit rushed in it’s pacing. It doesn’t ultimately fail to wrap this trilogy up decently but it is rather frantic. It is much more action focus and less character based. This easily could have been made into a two part finale. You only have so much time in a movie to cram in as much as possible. Not what I expected but not disappointed. A must see for Star Wars fans non the less.

This series is awesome. It has elements of western tv series of old but with a Star Wars theme. The protagonist the Mandalorian is a man of few words but besides action packed gun fight battles this man has a traumatic past but makes the choice to protect a young baby Of Yoda’s species. I expect a cliffhanger ending for season one but I hope there is something of substance reveled when season one completes.

Jouguin Phoenix plays a great joker in this film. I just did not care much for the script could have been better. Good acting saved this movie. I guess I expected more seemed like politics took over a bit much rather then Arther Flecks decent to insanity and becoming the joker. Hey maybe I am wrong about this. Still Jouguin was a great joker worth watching for his performance alone.

I read all three books in the mid 90’s. I never would of thought over 20 years later there would be a movie. Alvin Schwartz the author of all three books did an excellent job of collecting scary and sometimes scary/funny stories. Anyone whom has ever read any Scary stories books will remember the illustrations of Stephen Gammell. The movie attempts to capture these elements but almost goes overboard with the political atmosphere of 1968. Yet I felt like It still works, creepy no real jump scares here. Would still recommend highly especially for whose who read the books.

This remake is both different and similar to the 1989 Original by the same name. The original movie had killer Charles Lee Ray posses a Good guy doll in a toy store after being shot by police and near death. Where as the new movie has a disgruntled employee sabotage the AI of a Buddy doll. The premise of both are similar but yet they are different. The newer film is more gory with more graphic language then the first. That said not worth seeing in theaters. Wait for the dvd release and if you have not seen the original check it out.
