Relentless Suspense, Heart-Pounding Thrills, and Explosive Action The Day of the Jackal excels where it matters most — intense action, edge-of-the-seat suspense, and a gripping crime-thriller vibe that keeps you hooked. While the storytelling could have been sharper, the sheer adrenaline and tension more than make up for it. Eddie Redmayne is a force to be reckoned with, delivering a chilling and captivating performance that adds weight to every scene. The unnecessary "gay" subplot felt out of place, but it doesn't overshadow the show's core strengths. If you haven’t seen the original Jackal movie, this show will make you see the titular assassin as one of the coolest and most calculated characters in the genre. And if you have seen the movie, you’re in for an even bigger treat — the new ending adds a fresh twist that makes it better than the film. If you’re a fan of crime thrillers packed with action and suspense, The Day of the Jackal is a must-watch. It’s raw, intense, and keeps you guessing till the very end.
