I am also a trained mental health practitioner and I too found that this book profoundly described my own experience and has been relevatory and validating. It has allowed me to begin to fully heal, which has been to the benefit of not only myself but my children as well. Where is the downside of that? I think for those who don’t agree, a degree of tolerance and decency is required. If her work doesn’t speak to you, fine. But the vitriol expressed through slander is shocking. Ask yourselves, is it possible that what she has to say might be useful to some people? For those complaining about her motives, there are ways to access her work that don’t cost a huge amount of money. For those pointing out that her expertise was primarily in other areas before now, have your own interests never changed with time and exploration? If someone is intelligent and has a talent for research why shouldn’t they be allowed to apply that where their interest takes them - and irrespective of what is motivating them? And to the Jay Shetty haters, the same applies.
